Gortex Terriers is a project held by two old friends, that are breeding dogs and attending to dogshows since the early 80's.
Gortex is a mix of the names Gorjão and Teixeira, from Luis Gorjão-Henriques, breeder under the Vale do Criz affix and Rui Medeiros Teixeira, breeder under the Casa da Praia affix. Rui has started earlier with the Smooth Fox breeding under his kennel name, and Luis has Parson Russell and Jack Russell, and previously has bred successfuly the Wire Fox.
Gortex kennels are situated in two different regions of Portugal. The Estoril coast, where Luis lives with his family, and the Azores Islands where Rui lives with his family.
Gortex aim, is to breed high quality Smooth Fox Terriers, following the most successful lines, and trying to impose in the future our own line.
